Sensor Channels & Probes
The TX60 or TX70's LCD screen displays a series of 3 values in rotation (2 seconds each for a total cycle of 6 seconds). The little number on the left in the circle is the channel number:
● Channel 1: environment temperature and humidity from the internal TX60/TX70 circuits.
● Channel 2: optional TX60/TX70 external temperature or TX70/TX71* wet probe. 'nC' is displayed if no probe is attached.
*Note: The TX71 does not have temperature/humidity display.
Probes (optional channel 2)
TX60: probe with a black tip is a dry. The probe with a silver tip is a wet probe designed for immersion (e.g. swimming pool, hot tub).
TX70/71: The flat plate is for measurement of wet versus dry conditions (aka water leaks).
TX60 probes cannot be used in TX70/71 and vice versa. Usage determines probe life. To replace a probe, simply unplug the old one and plug in the new. Parts are available at La Crosse Technology Store.
