Sensor Mounting
Location: Optimal is line of sight distance; each obstacle reduces distance by 50%. Obstacles vary in penetration; not all work. Users with obstacles may acquire longer standard network cable to move the gateway closer to the sensor, or acquire another gateway for multiple sensors.
Height: 915 mhz RF performs best at a minimum height of 6 feet. Use mounting bracket included.
Data Time-Out/Retry: 100% data is not realistic, as the gateway runs a daily reset. Each device retries, then drops data from sensor memory.
Interval: Longer intervals increase the accuracy of your data. Use a low interval only where loss is high risk. Stagger intervals to increase the flow of data (review table data).
Redundancy: It is your option to increase coverage on a significant location by installing two sensors. Two sensors will not prevent power/internet/gateway fails.
