Static ip on OSX
Caution: This page is informational only. We will not provide support nor further instruction as system differences may cause failure. If you do not have the skill, do not attempt as for most people, this is a one-time task and locating a PC may be easier.
We have been able to run the Gateway Advanced Software on OSX 10.10 (Yosemite) with WineSkin, a free open-source download that makes a "package" of a single Windows application to run on OSX. Basic issues:
- The Windows application uses the Borland C 5.2 DLL distribution package; your emulation must support same.
- Timing during installation can be a bit confusing; the Wine supporting files must complete loading before you start the Windows installation for GatewayAdmin (Gateway Advanced Software).
- Your instance must be able to access a LAN network cable (not wifi).
- You must follow standard Windows static ip instructions.
